Abstract:

Join us for our upcoming talk, where our speaker Shaista Guraya will present her recent research work in the field of e-professionalism, particularly within the context of medical and healthcare fields in the digital age.

Her comprehensive exploration, consisting of seven papers, sheds light on various aspects of e-professionalism and its implications in the modern digital landscape. Additionally, Dr. Shaista will introduce The Medical Education e-Professionalism (MEeP) framework to guide professionals in the digital realm.

Guest Speaker – Bio:

Shaista S. Guraya is an accomplished educator and researcher with a strong background in medical education. She holds a PhD in Medical Education from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and her academic journey includes a master’s degree in medical education from Maastricht University, among other qualifications. Throughout her career, she

has held various academic and teaching positions, including her current role as a Professionalism Lecturer at RCSI – Medical University Bahrain. She has been actively involved in curriculum development, faculty development programs, and supervisory roles in medical education. Her prolific research endeavors span a wide spectrum, from innovative instructional methodologies to assessing competencies and developing evidence-based practices. Her recent research contributions in e-professionalism, digital professionalism, and medical education frameworks were published in high-impact Q1 academic peer-reviewed journals. Her commitment to excellence in education is evident in her editorial roles, such as serving on the Editorial Board of BMC Medical Education and acting as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Medicine.
